Gene Record Memorial Park

Gene Record Memorial Park

Gene Record Memorial Park, located at 600 North Church Avenue, was established on May 13, 1993. The park has continually evolved over the years and now offers picnic pavilions, restrooms, free WiFi, walking trails, a playground, a splash pad, 9-hole disc golf, soccer fields, and a dog park. The paved trail at Gene Record Park is fun for all, with up to a mile and a half of walking trails on an ADA-compliant asphalt surface. You can choose from a variety of paths to suit your level of comfort.

Along this trail, you will enjoy magnificent artwork made of recycled goods and the four eco-friendly fitness stations posted throughout your walk. The newest trail takes you on a ¾-mile stroll through nature, where you may see various wildlife.

The Clayton Family Playground provides a safe ADA-accessible area where children of all abilities can play together and develop the wide range of skills needed to be successful in the world. Its features include a padded surface, a Communication Board for non-verbal or autistic children, an activity panel, bridges, climbers, benches, various swings, and slides. In 2021 the park added a splash pad thanks to the generous donations of private citizens.

It is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day and accessible to everyone free of charge. We do ask that all users respect the posted rules. You and your little ones will be enchanted by the fountains and spray features at the splash pad, including a large mushroom umbrella, a single bucket dump, ground sprays, and three squirting animals, a turtle, fish, and duck. There is also seating with a large sunshade. So come out to cool off from the hot summer heat and make memories of a lifetime! Each year, Chester County Youth Soccer holds matches for approximately 600 youth on the park grounds. There are leagues for both boys and girls, ages 3 through 17. The season kicks off in August and runs through October. Registration is held in May, and information is distributed in schools and posted in the local newspaper.
